ABOUT MARISOL
Marisol’s freight journey began at United Airlines Cargo at Los Angeles International Airport in 2003.
During that time, Brian Santos was the International Operations Manager at Mapcargo Global Logistics and was dealing with an issue involving United Airlines rejecting a lower-deck pallet at the dock. Brian first encountered Marisol over the phone while she was acting as the Customer Service MOD. She immediately stepped in, helped resolve the issue, followed up multiple times throughout the day, and ultimately ensured the cargo made its cutoff and was uplifted on the flight — with just minutes to spare.
I recognized right away that Marisol genuinely cared about her job. She showed it through her exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and the way she personally followed through to make sure an urgent shipment moved successfully.
Fast forward — when an opening became available at Mapcargo in 2005, I called Marisol in for an interview, and the rest is history. I took Marisol under my wing at Mapcargo and trained her in the gateway position. Years later, Marisol relocated to Miami, Florida, where she went on to run the Miami office of MAPCARGO as Station Manager. In 2018, while I was in Carson grabbing lunch, I unexpectedly crossed paths with Marisol again at a local restaurant. I called her in once more for an interview, and she became the final team member to join my staff at Sound Moves Los Angeles in 2018.
In her spare time Marisol enjoys traveling, skydiving, hockey games, live concerts and taking care of her Yorkie named “Bear”. I’m extremely excited to share that Marisol officially rejoined my team in February 2025 and is now part of Band of Brothers. The future is bright, and we’re proud to have her back on board.
